Department of Management studies of ASIET has an ambient environment which stimulates learning and encourages overall development of the individual. Our Quality policy enshrines ethical and spiritual values and innovative thinking. We consistently aim to impart quality education based on empowerment of participants through the involvement and guidance of faculty members.

Our students are given active involvement in the teaching- learning process through live cases.
Students get periodic industry visits. Personality development, communication and presentation skills and group dynamics are our regular features. Invitees from manufacturing and service sectors address the students frequently on current management developments.

Our campus recruiters include national and multinational organizations and we aim to achieve job placements for all students by the end of the programme. Our Faculty comprises of experts with good academic qualification and extensive industry exposure.

 
Eligibility  

Any graduation (10+2+3) from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all parts in case of Arts or commerce stream, and 55% aggregate for all parts in case of Science stream. The candidates from the SC/ST communities shall be eligible for a relaxation on marks up to 5%. A few seats are reserved for B.Tech aspirants.

Duration

The course is a full time programme with a duration of 2 years spread over four semesters. Each semester shall comprise of a minimum of 16 weeks.

Selection

Selection will be based on the management Aptitude test(MAT) of All India Management Association or ASMIKMAT score in GD and Personal Interview at ASIET.For this the latest three MAT tests are considered for admission. for those who have written more than one test the higher marks will be used for computation for qualification criteria. There will be a group discussion and interview to assess the candidate's merit.

 
Course Structure  

There are 16 compulsory papers in the first year, 8 each in the first and second semesters. the number of teaching hours shall be 50 per course. Each full paper carries 100 marks, 40marks internal and 60 marks external.

At the end of second semester all the students shall undergo a via- voce examination, which will be followed by a summer training of four week duration.each student shall submit a project report on the same three weeks after commencement of the third semester. the third semester will have 7 full papers comprising one compulsory paper and six optional papers. Of the six electives the student will have to choose a minimum of three papers from his area of specialisation. There are 4 full papers in the fourth semester consisting of one compulsory paper and three electives. A project work carrying 300 marks is also to be completed by the end of the semester. The project duration is 8-10 weeks. A general viva-voce examination carrying 100 marks will be also be conducted.

For specialization in any functional area one should choose a total of 5 elective papers during the programme out of which a minimum of three should be done in the third semester. Elective offers will be as per the preference of students, availability of faculty and needs of the user system.
